14K posts? Huh, you certainly earned your wings here! Also glad to hear life's smiling on you, good time to save money. Do you do any audio work, any more? Seems like the Audio Portal is still sliding away, but there's still gems to be had there.

I would love to get back into it, for sure. Right now, I don't have any programs on my laptop. I'd love to get back into Fruity Loops, if it even exists anymore. Also, I'd have to upgrade my laptop, as well. It just runs too damn slow. Once I upgrade that, I'd definitely look into some audio programs. If you have any recommendations for a better program than the Fruity Loops I used to work with, I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions.

Fruity Loops is still being used, probably a few more plug-ins available now too.. better to go with what you know, saves time ;) Somehow I'm still using a broken 13 y/o laptop running XP... 1/2 GB of RAM makes things interesting. Cheap memory upgrade would probably be a better option for both of us, unless yours cooks your hands like mine does :p I was always a desktop guy, but the wifi gadget on this relic is perfect for long distances (an even exchange for me mowing her lawn, tending her driveway...)

Awesome. Well I may have to look into things here in the next few days. I might be back into audio sooner rather than later.

Cool, whatever keeps you sane and happy... that's why we're all here :) Took me a while to join up, because I did video production, not Flash/games/movies/music, but after a while I figured no one would mind if I slipped in, and stayed out of the professionals way... Then a few years later, NG was more for the audience, and not for the producers/content providers to self evaluate one another.

How did you find out about NG? I had heard Howard Stern mention it in '99 (before he became even more over rated).

I believe it was back in late 2002, when a buddy of mine that told me about a game on this site. It was called Ganguro Girl. He told me it was an awesome game, and I should play it some time. So I did, and I completely agreed with him. I had finished the game and forgot all about it for several months. That was until about May of 2003, when I got a hunch to play that game. I couldn't remember the name of the game right away, but I stumbled across a few cartoons and other games that I enjoyed thoroughly. That's when I signed up for an account.

I remember that game, it was long, but more or less worth the time (considering the primitive state of Flash gaming at the time). Frank's Adventures were fun, good time killers while offline, Miss Dynamite, etc.

There were only a few dozen flashes in the Portal when I first starting coming here. Every month or so, I'd start at one (Scrotum) just hit backspace on the address bar and put the next higher number in. Last time I did that, the site had a little over a 100 games/movies.

The BBS scared the hell out of me back then, wasn't well moderated, but I'd lurk the epic insults, felt sorry for the little kids who daftly tried to start some shit. Tom 'lost' those HD's (BBS 99-01)... a solid 1/3rd of the comments were just unredeemable.

Haha. I would have loved to see those posts back then. I remember when I started posting on the BBS. My first few posts, I picture spammed. Never knew what a signature was back then. I would have to credit Newgrounds for my ability to learn how to photoshop. Wish I had the time to work with flash, though. It was always something I wanted to learn how to do. Just never got around to it.

I started in Radio Shack BASIC, then went to Apple BASIC, dabbled in FORTRAN, but nothing ever really came of it. Even before Flash, all the programs that let you make programs were shit to operate, and of a narrow application :\ The photoshop stuff I did before NG existed, mainly for TV graphics.

How's your daughter been, no colic or fevers lately? A few years ago I saw a study that claimed that, if you had ringworm as a child, the odds of you having asthma in the future were slim to none... so, if she grows up playing in dirt and mud, don't sweat it.. unless she starts tracking it around the house O_O

She actually did have colic at one point, Hell, she had rough first year. Seemed like every time you turned around, she was sick. I think that time has finally come and gone. She's finally been sleeping throught the night. I think she's almost ready to start potty training, too. She's a smart little whip.

My brother, sister and I never had kids, so there's not much I could say about potty training... just keep your cool, no matter what, anger's the last thing you wanna show young children :\

Now that I think about it, http://dave.newgrounds.com/ never had kids either, and he's older than me... and still playing with synthesizers and Legos :) We've been talking on email recently, I bought some his CD/DVD's recently, nice chap.

Cool. I love the RAB Series. RAB 4 was actually the first flash I watched. I played games all the time here, but then I discovered the cartoons on here, and that's what got me hooked even more to the site.

The name does sound familar! :D Glad you found your way back here!

Thank you, Cyberdevil. I know it won't be as much as I was when I originally started on here, but I'll definitely try and swing by every now and then. :)

Didn't you used to be a forum mod?

I think before the redesign I remember you had the spiked fist level icon.

I was at one point, yeah. Forum Mod. Audio Mod. I did a lot of different things on here. I ended up burning out doing so much over five years ago. I needed a break from being on the internet all the time so I could get things straightened out in my life. Can't say that it was a bad decision. Lately I've been missing out it, so I come back and visit the site sporadically when I get the chance to. It's not always that easy to do when you have a little 1-year old daughter running around causing havoc.

I think what I really missed out on the most was making audio. What sucks is I don't have any programs on my laptop right now, not to mention my laptop runs slow as hell right now. But I went back and listened to some of the stuff I made, and I realized how much of a blast I had doing it, not to mention the fact I started to improve with Fruity Loops on the last couple of tracks I made with it.

So yeah, I'm not going to be as crazy busy on Newgrounds as I used to be, but I'll try and pop in and post and play games on here every now and then.

I mean, I'm friends with you on facebook, but I'm happy to see that you're posting here. Like I have any room to talk, I haven't posted a user update on my profile for over two years now.

Haha. Well Evan, it's great to be back on here regularly. I've been focusing most of my attention on the medal games. I fell out of the top 200 at one point, and I wanted to see how far I could climb back up in the ranks.
