My god, this may be the sweetest thing I've ever heard. It's a Mega Man 2 rap by these guys named Duane and Brando.
Sucks that the Bubble Man part's like, two seconds long, goddamnit. >:-(
So I have this Queens of the Stone Age theme going for me right now, and I don't even have a news post to complete the theme about them.
EDIT: Song #3 on showcase: "Feel Good Hit of the Summer". I love this fuckin' song. Now who wouldn't want to go see a Queens of the Stone Age show after watching this?
I should probably add that this was when Nick Oliveri was still the bassist for the band. He isn't part of their current lineup anymore.
. . .this song's for you.
"Little Girls" by Oingo Boingo
Kind of a catchy song, really.

Updated: 01/18/09 5:06 PM 10 comments | Log in to comment! | Share this!I've realized the internet sucks without a regular stop to Newgrounds, so I'm going to keep things true and visit here everyday, hopefully keeping a rhythm of doing some blams and protects, and get back to what I had the most fun doing: Posting. Posting and learning. I like learning about everyone I come across posting with. So yeah, I'm really hoping I don't fizzle out again like I have been the past few times I've made this speech.
For me personally, there's one big thing I need to do, and that's lose some weight. I'm going to be real honest with you folks, I'm horribly out of shape. I'm nowhere near what I look like when I was whoring around my pictures in all the drawing threads. I'm a lot heavier from that stage. It sucks, too. I find myself having less energy to do things.
I'll tell you one thing. I feel like I'm going to need to drop probably 100+ pounds to feel better about myself (if that tells you anything). When I reach this goal, I might make my most epic (and yet most disturbing) thread I may ever make. When I do, I'll be close to half the man I used to be. You may be shocked and amazed at the same time.
Anyways, here's to a great 2009, guys. Cheers.

Well since I haven't been around Newgrounds posting for about five months or so, I haven't been telling you what's been going on with my life lately. I always talked about in threads I made about the complete randomness of what I see during either work or my nights on the town.
Well, let me just give you a quick update on what's been happening:
I may have mentioned this to a few people, but the gas station I was working at and the place where I made most of my observations shut down back in February. I was let go due to lack of business two months before the place shut down for good. I knew around September that things were going downhill fast, what with the different products and such that the rival gas station across the street started bringing in different and better products. Also, it didn't help our owner was broke and couldn't afford gas for the place. So yeah, now that place is finished with for now. There's been talk of other businesses filling that building, but nothing has come about that yet.
That's why I picked up a job at a radio station in August. It was pretty cool to get a job that I was originally going to college for, and I didn't need college to get it. Part of my dream job is to become a sports broadcaster, and this was a step in the right direction. To get my foot in the door, give me a good beginning experience into the world of radio.
Sadly, I don't have that job anymore, either. During the flood, I was stranded here in my hometown and wasn't able to get to work. During the last week of June, I got a call saying that there was going to be more time changes to where there was an expanded time to where the station would be vacant. Naturally with the time cuts, my job became expendible since I was only a part-timer. I got a raw deal there. I know there was something more to it than just reducing the time. Well you know what, those new owners can choke on their own self-narcissism, the fuckin' pricks.
But yeah, that's basically it. Now I'm about to pick up a job at a grain company at about $9.00/hr. This is actually a better thing for me, since those other two jobs paid minimum wage. I'll be getting a lot of hours during every week, too. The only downside is there's going to be a three-month period during the winter where operations are shut down. But fortunately, it's basically a full-time job since I'll be getting an automatic recall to work when operations pick up again.
So yeah, that's been the past five months in a nutshell.
5 comments | Log in to comment! | Share this!Yes, today is good ol' birthday number twenty-three for me. Only two more years until I get lower car insurance! HOORAY!!!
But seriously folks, twenty-three's come too quickly. I can't believe it's only going to be another seven years until I'm thirty. Enjoy your time as teenagers and young adults, folks. It goes by without you seeing it come.
Gloomy negative outlook aside, I'm not sure what's on the agenda for tonight. I'd like to go out and get drunk, but I haven't really drank since the summer last year. Maybe a quiet night at home? Nahh. What I'd really like to do is get a decent-sized poker game going. That's always a good plan.
But yeah, twenty-three. Bust out the party blowers and glow sticks. This'll be a rave! *Techno beat plays*
Hey! Pass that ecstasy that way!

Celebrate the day right folks. Wear your favorite 311 shirts, listen to your favorite 311 songs, and if you're going to the big show in New Orleans tonight, by all means have a hell of a lot of fun!
And of course, if you partake, smoke a little bud for this day.
Happy 311 Day 2008 everyone!

Managing two jobs and having free time for other things isn't exactly two ideas compatible with one another. Now that I'm done with the gas station and job and work solely at the radio station, I'm back, and hopefully things haven't changed that much in the past couple months.
I'm liking what's all going on with the site right now, and I'm greatly anticipating the things to come. So yeah, hello again Newgrounds. The Gooch is back!
